LIGHTWING is a public health insecticide combining dinotefuran 12% and pyriproxyfen 6% in an oil dispersion formulation. It is registered in China for the control of fly larvae in outdoor breeding sites.

The formulation combines two active ingredients with different modes of action. Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator, while dinotefuran is a neonicotinoid insecticide acting on the insect nervous system. This combination provides control of fly larvae through complementary biological effects.

Product Features:

Dual Modes of Action

LIGHTWING® combines an insect growth regulator with a neonicotinoid insecticide, providing two different modes of action against fly larvae.

Pyriproxyfen – Insect Growth Regulation

Pyriproxyfen is a juvenile hormone analogue insect growth regulator. It interferes with normal insect development, molting and reproduction and also shows activity against immature insect stages.

Dinotefuran – Nervous System Activity

Dinotefuran is a neonicotinoid insecticide that acts on insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), disrupting normal nerve transmission.
